We use expensive medications and cosmetics for our health and beauty. However, the nature has conferred on us easily available medications that are effective and potent. One such nature’s gift that has been lately very popular is Aloe vera. This has been considered a wonder plant because it has so many health and beauty benefits. Earth’s Wisdom would like to share the amazing benefits of aloe vera with readers.
You may know that aloe vera plant can be consumed in various ways. But aloe vera juice is hugely popular.
Aloe vera is a succulent plant belonging to the genus Aloe and is being used as a medicinal plant for centuries. Aloe vera leaves contain flesh or sap which is a gooey substance and can be made into juice drinking which can benefit you in a number of ways.
Leaves of aloe vera plant can be crushed or ground and then filtered and purified to make them into a juice. This juice has a mild flavor and can be mixed with shakes, smoothies and other juices.
If your body has an acidic pH, it has a tendency to fall prey to various diseases. Aloe vera juice is an alkaline food that can bring your body’s pH to a healthy level.
Other foods which can do this are:
Aloe vera has high water content and hence it is a perfect way to treat or prevent dehydration. When your body is adequately hydrated, it can effectively flush out impurities and gets detoxified. Aloe vera juice not only purifies your body in this way, but also offers it a lot of nutrients.
This is very important because the detoxification and production of urine are done by liver and kidneys. So, they should be healthy which is done by aloe vera juice.
Even after heavy exercise, your body needs to be rehydrated with an intake of additional fluids in order to get rid of the lactic acid buildup from the workout. Here aloe vera juice can help you out to maintain your body hydrated and purified.
When your liver is hydrated and nourished, it functions the best and aloe vera keeps your liver healthy with its water and phytonutrient content.
Aloe vera juice also makes your intestines hydrated and studies show that increase in the water content of intestines is related to stimulation of peristalsis which facilitates stool movement. Plus, aloe vera also helps balance your intestinal flora (healthy bacteria) and makes your gut healthy.
With its high water and nutrient content, aloe vera may help reduce skin problems like acne, dermatitis and psoriasis. Aloe vera has a high amount of vitamins and antioxidants that can protect your skin. Aloe vera has also been found to neutralize the ill effects of UV rays, repair UV damage and help prevent wrinkles and fine lines.
Aloe vera is packed with nutrients. If you drink aloe vera juice, you have rare chances to become deficient. It consists of important vitamins and minerals like B, C, E and folic acid, and small amounts of minerals like copper, calcium, selenium, chromium, zinc, manganese, sodium, potassium and magnesium. It’s important to note that aloe vera is the one of the rare plant sources for vitamin B12 which is important for vegetarians and vegans.
Decolorized, purified and low anthraquinone juice of whole leaf of aloe vera is considered to be safe. On the other hand, unpurified, nondecolorized version has some side effects like cramping, diarrhea and colon adenomas (benign tumors). Rarely long term use of this juice can cause colon cancer.
So, drink purified, decolorized aloe vera juice and get a healthy dose of water and nutrients to keep your body pure and healthy.
